Shorter Days, Slower Thoughts
Shorter Days bring slower productivity for me. Though I plan to finish the year long commitment to learn all 18 Paul Jeanjean etudes, I’m stuck for now on 2. Several reasons. First- Etude 2 has been a thorn for me for a long time. I need to live with it to really master it. Second- I’m back to work full time with the Columbus Symphony, which, I keep forgetting, is work. Third- I’ve recently changed all my equipment, and it’s taking time to settle. I look forward to nailing etude 2 to the wall. In time.
