Pagliacci- Opera Columbus

The music from the “Pagliacci” aria “Vesti la giubba” was featured in a Kellogg's cereal ad in 1969, with the lyrics "No more Rice Krispies we are out of Rice Krispies". “Entertainment Weekly” touted it as one of the 10 best commercials of all time.

Looking forward to performing this weekend's hybrid concert version of Pagliacci.

It's an odd set up on stage. The orchestra is on huge risers, spread out over the stage, with the singers behind the conductor. (They can see him via two monitors over the audience, but he cannot see them.)

But hey, it's Pagliacci! And the Columbus Symphony can handle just about anything.

    Hi Christopher,

I heard from one audience member at the dress that it sounds good, for what it's worth.

I haven't seen it yet of course, but the staging as described to me has me nervous. I hope the public doesn't feel ripped off. But its true as you say-the sound made by the CSO will make up for a lot.
