    Hi Robyn, I'm so sorry I didn't respond earlier. I saw your comment and intended to do some research and get back to you. But I did neither. I'm sure there are some obscure Indian inspired pieces, but I certainly don't know of any. You'd think with all the technology we have of instant communication, a search would show something, but there's little there.

    How cool that you are from here and studied with Les and Don. Thanks for your comment. I hope you come back to visit once in awhile.

    What a pleasure to find your blog, David. I grew up in Columbus and studied clarinet with Don McGinnis and Les Nicholas among others. I so enjoyed hearing you play with the CSO when I lived there.

    I still play on occasion but did not stay in music professionally. I'm looking for an Indian or Indian-inspired brief solo of some sort to play at a church service – the speakers that day will be sharing their experiences working this summer with a school in an impoverished region on the east coast of India. If you have any suggestions of something that would be somewhat forgiving of long-gone chops, I'd be most grateful.
